We are here to create inclusive environments that young  neurodivergences to live healthier, happier and more connected lives. Our mission is to help the world to better understand, value and support young people with dyslexia and other neurodivergence.

Working and supporting students with dyslexia and other neurodivergences

We acknowledge the distinct strengths and obstacles encountered by students with dyslexia and other neurodivergences in educational settings. We are dedicated to collaborating with you to create inclusive and empowering learning environments that are specifically catered to your teenager’s requirements.

Our Services

The Empower NeuroStudents Group Program is delivered across a term and is designed to empower neurodivergent students to develop the skills needed to transition out of school and into the workplace providing advanced peer support networking and personal growth opportunities.
Delivery mode: 90-minute online including guest speakers, learnings, and peer support

Topics covered include:

  • Growth mindset and self-awareness: understanding neurodivergence and what it means for me.
  • The importance of self-advocacy
  • Self-reflection: understanding strengths and difficulties within study and workplace settings and accessing accommodations
  • Sharing stories, listening to neurodivergent students, and building a support system in and out of university.
  • Self-care: looking after our mental health and wellbeing with Dr Malik Behl
  • Growth mindset and self-awareness: Transitioning into the workplace, setting yourself up for success.

Knowledge: To build self-understanding and awareness of their neurodivergence strengths and differences and to achieve success for themselves.
Skills: Critical thinking, growth mindset, learning to learn and self-reflection.
Application: Develop strategies and plans to support learning.

NeuroStudent Workshops have been carefully crafted to be conducted either online or in person within a 90-minute timeframe. These workshops aim to empower neurodivergent students by equipping them with necessary skills to thrive in the academic environment, prioritise their mental well-being, and successfully transition from school to the professional workplace.

Workshops include:

  • Nurturing Minds: Supporting and understanding the Mental Health needs of  Neurodivergent Students
  • Smooth Transitions: Preparing your students with Dyslexia and ADHD for the Workplace”
  • Empowering Success: Utilising Assistive Technologies for Student Achievement

Knowledge: To build self-understanding and awareness of their neurodivergence strengths and differences and to achieve success for themselves.
Skills: Critical thinking, growth mindset, social skills learning to learn and self-reflection.
Application: Develop strategies and plans to support learning.

Parenting workshops have been developed to aid parents in effectively managing and understanding their child/ren’s neurodivergence, while also offering strategies for supporting them in various educational settings. This workshop is designed to be interactive, allowing parents to address and discuss key concerns, and includes a panel discussion featuring experts. Additionally, the workshop is collaboratively designed with schools.

Delivery mode: Two-hour group workshop online or face-to-face

Understanding and Supporting My Teenager with Dyslexia and ADHD:
• a dietitian in to discuss managing nutrition when on medication
• mental health support strategies
• managing dyslexia and ADHD in and out of school day-to-day
• ADHD and co-occurring difficulties

Our programs are developed and delivered by those with lived experience of neurodivergence who are educators, clinicians and parents.
