Shae at the re:think dyslexia stand at the Australian Neurodevelopmental Disorders Conference

We were thrilled to see our Director, Dr Shae Wissell, presenting at the Australian Neurodevelopmental Disorders Conference in Launceston. Shae shared her research on dyslexia and the transition into adulthood, highlighting the often-overlooked challenges and strengths of neurodivergent individuals—both in and beyond the workplace. Her presentation sparked meaningful conversations that deeply resonated with the audience. Following the session, a number of attendees stayed back to speak with Shae, many of whom shared their own lived experiences with dyslexia. Shae felt incredibly privileged to listen to these personal stories, which further reinforced the importance of creating inclusive environments where neurodivergent voices are heard and valued.
A highlight was attending the ADHD presentation by Professor David Coghill, some really interesting research on adults and ADHD.  It was a powerful afternoon of learning, connection, and advocacy, one that truly aligns with our mission at re:think dyslexia.
