Introduction
Our Consumer Charter of Rights describes how we honour your neurodivergent strengths, what you can expect when engaging with our services, and how you can partner with us to continually improve. At re:think dyslexia, we value the unique contributions of people with dyslexia, ADHD, autism and related neurodivergences. We commit to creating an environment where you feel empowered, supported and understood.
Your Rights
When you engage with re:think dyslexia, you have the right to feel genuinely welcomed, accepted and included; to be treated with respect, kindness and without stigma; to receive clear, accessible information about available supports and evidence based options; to make informed choices and decisions about your own journey; to be at the centre of your care, with your lived experience and individual profile fully recognised; to have your cultural identity, neurodivergent identity and diversity honoured; to be supported by trained, skilled and supervised coaches, consultants and facilitators; to receive consistent, high quality services—whether in person, online or via assistive technologies; to have all supports informed by the latest neurodiversity affirming research and best practice; to access our services in safe, positive and accessible environments; to raise concerns or provide feedback and receive a timely, respectful response; to have your personal information kept private and confidential in line with our Privacy Policy; to expect any risks or incidents to be identified and managed promptly; to experience transparency in all aspects of our partnership; to collaborate with us in identifying, assessing and implementing the supports that best meet your needs; and to be assured that our service standards meet national quality accreditation requirements.
How You Can Help Us
Your partnership helps us to grow and refine our support. We ask that you provide complete and accurate information about your strengths, challenges and goals; treat fellow participants, staff and volunteers with respect and kindness; share honest feedback on your experience of our screenings, coaching, training and community based programs; and, if you’re comfortable, tell us about your lived experience to help shape future initiatives and resources.
How to Provide Feedback
We welcome every piece of feedback, whether it’s celebrating a positive experience or highlighting areas for improvement. You can speak directly with your coach or consultant, email us at hello@rethinkdyslexia.com.au, or complete the online feedback form at www.rethinkdyslexia.com.au/contact. If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your concern, you may refer your complaint to the Victorian Ombudsman, depending on the nature of your service agreement.
