🧠 Breaking Down Neurodiversity Myths at Melton Public Library
Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of being part of a thought-provoking panel discussion on neurodiversity—diving deep into the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals and how our society, education systems, and workplaces can better support diverse minds.

We tackled some of the big questions:
💡 How does neurodiversity shape a person’s identity and lived experience?
🏫 What barriers exist within higher education and employment, and how can we create more inclusive learning environments?
💼 What challenges do neurodivergent individuals face in employment, and how can organisations build structures that embrace diverse ways of thinking?

Most importantly, we worked to break down the myths that still persist about neurodivergence—breaking down stigma and misconceptions.
This event, hosted by the incredible Anita Aherne in partnership with Melton Library, brought together passionate voices and lived experiences, including two phenomenal neurodiverse authors—James Loveday and
Paul Micallef. It was an honor to sit alongside them and share insights on how we can rethink the way our society embraces neurodiversity.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended engaged, and shared their stories. Every conversation like this helps shift the narrative and create more inclusive spaces for neurodivergent individuals. Let’s keep the momentum going!
