Our Minds Matter

Neurodivergences, like dyslexia, are lifelong conditions that can impact us positively and negatively throughout our lives.

Our Minds Matter: Mental Health and Wellbeing Series

We recognise the challenges that come with managing our neurodivergence, both in the workplace and in our daily lives. Feelings of overwhelm and isolation are common experiences. That’s why we are excited to announce the relaunch of Our Minds Matter, our mental health and thriving program.

Our goal is to provide you with the necessary skills and strategies to improve your mental health and well-being, as well as navigate your neurodiversity with confidence and resilience. The Our Minds Matter Series runs in block sessions over one month,  delivered online in a group setting.

These sessions are led by Dr. Malvika Behl, an essential member of our team. Dr. Behl is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Counsellor Education Program at West Texas A&M University. With a PhD in Counsellor Education and Supervision, she brings a wealth of knowledge and seven years of academic experience. She is dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals particularly those with learning disabilities/difficulties and has collaborated with respected organisations globally. Malvika has published internationally on her work and we are so pleased to have her as part of our team.

With Dr. Behl’s expertise, we are committed to making a positive impact on your journey towards better mental health and well-being.

Taking care of your mental health is not only about getting professional support, but you also need to do some work on your own.

That can also be a great place to start if you’re not ready to talk to others about what you’re feeling.

The Federal Government provides a list of online therapy options, some of which you can access for free, that can help you get started on looking after your mental health.

Importantly, you can do these at home and in private. They’re also things that you can do late at night or on the weekends, and they’re available wherever you can get the internet.
