Coaching
We are here to create inclusive environments that enable adults with dyslexia to live healthier, happier and more connected lives. Our mission is to help the world to better understand, value and support dyslexics.
Coaching for dyslexic adults to lead healthier, happier and more connected lives.
How can we help?
- I need support in my workplace because no one understands
- I am struggling to manage my PhD and my dyslexic difficulties
- I need reasonable adjustments and I don’t know where to go for help
Working within a strength-based approach we support you in your personal and business journey. This model has been known to help people cope with and reduce stress and we know those with dyslexia face significant levels of stress compared to the general population.
Through our research and international work, we know that those with dyslexia can excel in these characteristics and we are here to help you build and grow them so you can live the life that you desire.
You’re not alone!
My understanding of dyslexia doesn’t just come from a theoretical standpoint I intimately understand it because I have a lived experience of dyslexia and dysgraphia and have faced struggles, shame, poor mental health, and stigma. Despite these obstacles as a woman and parent with dyslexia I have accomplished more than I could have ever dreamed.
I was sure I couldn’t be the only one facing these challenges which is why I undertook Australian first research to identify what was really happening for adults with dyslexia and how I could help. I was right. Sadly my story is not unique and through my research, I found a myriad of challenges faced by adults with dyslexia.
It’s not easy but it can get better. It’s my mission and passion to help other dyslexics. Through my research, you can better understand yourself and all the amazing things you too can achieve when you draw on your strengths and unique talents enabling you to live a healthier, happier and more connected life.
So what might coaching look like?
Some of the activities we do through our coaching program include:
- goal setting, prioritising and following through
- breaking things down into small tasks and sequencing
- creating and sticking to timelines
- improving organisational skills
- building self-acceptance and awareness
- increase understanding of your dyslexia
- improving self-advocacy skills
- identifying positive characteristics and identifying strengths.
To support you in your coaching journey I use a personality profiling tool system B.A.N.K™ which is scientifically proven to be accurate in assessing a person’s values. Together we can work to have a clear understanding of your personality profile and how you can best use it to achieve success. It can offer insights into your excel and the areas that you can work on to further develop professional and personal growth. This is valuable in understanding yourself and your values and how you can better understand and work with others. This is a simplified quiz that takes 90 seconds compared to other personality tests that are lengthy and difficult to read.
